Medishop Expo is an international exhibition organized by Shem Services Limited, a specialist medical and pharmaceutical trade show and events organizers. Established in 2005, we have organized trade shows and awards for the healthcare industry.

It is our objective to ultimately provide the most comprehensive database of suppliers and manufacturers to the health care industry as well as specialist service providers in the sector both locally and globally. This will unfold as we continue to build up our database and update our website.

It is a globally known fact that after diabetes and cancer, medical error is the third largest cause of death in the world. Even in America where there is high expenditure on health, medical errors kill about 300 persons on a daily average.

Therefore with the introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme in Ghana, which has highly increased the access to healthcare, with aging facilities and personnel, inadequate human resources, fatigue and the fact that doctors depend largely on oral narration of patients for diagnosis, the case of cutting edge medical technology, excellent therapeutically advanced drugs cannot be over-emphasised.
With Ghana's growing stature of diplomatic importance, updated medical delivery cannot be a luxury.

Now about 98% of all medical facilities in Ghana depend on paper work for all medical records. This is a far cry from banks which have almost 100% elecronic transactions. In bringing the latest technology in healthcare delivery, the next challeng will be personnel with adequate IT background to understand medical procedures and infuse them in Electronic Medical Records. This is the fair to achieve both worlds of latest technology in medical and pharmaceutical practice.

From the 23rd -25th September,2010, all roads will lead to the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra, Ghana, West Africa for the Second International Medical and Pharmaceutical Expo.
